College Bound!

This week, Stacy and Lupe dropped off their first born, Brooke, at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. Brooke, an extremely talented writer, was accepted into their prestigious J-school (J for journalism) which one of the top, if not the top, programs in the nation. As part of the School of Journalism, she was required to purchase a MacBook Pro (I just upgraded to one of these!!!) and an iPod Touch. Also, Brooke has many opportunities to be published in national publications while at Mizzou. Many tears were shed when they moved her in (but according to Stacy all these tears were from Lupe *side eye*). We want to wish Brooke the best of luck in her first year of college! GO TIGERS!

Remember the Alamodome

Last weekend I trekked to San Antonio (about a 5 hour drive south from Dallas) for the 2009 Cowboys Training Camp with Cam, his girlfriend Nicole and my friend/old roommate Porchia. Our friend Isaiah Stanback (WR - #86) invited us down for the weekend to celebrate his birthday. Isaiah (whose nickname is Zeus) loved his "cupcake cake" in the shape of a lightning bolt. We were VIP at practice (see pics below) and even saw Jerry Jones in the elevator at our hotel! It was craziness and a good time. Can't wait for the new season! GO COWBOYS!

Williams Family Vacation

Stacy and fam (Lupe, Brooke and Ryan) along with me, mom and Brandi enjoyed a great week off at the end of June in Orlando at Stacy's timeshare. The Orange Lake resort offers so much to do and see. We went to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Onsite we went swimming, floated the "lazy river" and played a little miniature golf. Check out some of the photos below!

Halloween Fun!

For work, Brandi had to pick a costume that was from a movie so she went as Sister Mary Clarence from Sister Act.

Snickers and Brady got into the Halloween spirit too and donned costumes this year.  Snickers was a bee, which is so appropriate because she is quite the "busy bee" chewing up shoes, magazines, paper towels and, eventually, this costume!

As you can see, Brady is now a University of Texas Longhorns fan.  Can't you tell how excited he is to be wearing that burnt orange and white?  And he doesn't even care that the Longhorns are slowly falling in the college rankings (sorry Sean!).  Hook 'Em Horns!

Phillies Win the World Series...but that's not the exciting news!

Still in the post-game euphoria. The Phillies won the World Series after 28 years since the last victory in the Fall Classic. The entire school at Woodland dressed in Phillies red and this picture was featured on 6ABC (Philly ABC affiliate) as well as the local Bridgeton newspapers.

Go Phils and Go Woodland.

Fisher Family Fun!

Spooky Spooktacular Fun

We attended the annual Woodland Country Day School Spooktacular Saturday Night.  We did pumpkin carving for Spooktacular on Friday night.   Adam was Annakin Skywalker and Madison was Princess Belle.  Nick just went to have fun and did not dress up.  I bought Madison a red princess wig--she loved it.  See the cool pics.

Soccer Update

SWSA Bulldogs played in the Columbus Day Tournament in Woodstown.  The played the Woodstown Vipers on Saturday morning, beating them 4-1.  Adam scored the first 2 goals for the Bulldogs.  They played the Cinnaminson Thunder at 2pm and tied with a score of 1-1.  Adam scored the only goal.  On  Sunday at 2pm, the Bulldogs played a team from Hockessin, Delaware and beat them 1-0.  Adam did not score that goal, but played awesome defense that helped shut out the other team.

Both boys return to their regular season schedule on Sunday.

Collier Williams Media Website Now Live!!!!

As some of you may already know, I've been putting the wheels in motion to start my own video slideshow business. In a nutshell, I take pictures and/or video and set them to music, complete with transitions and a DVD menu. The customer gets it all on a personalized DVD and case. My website is finally live and looks fantastic!!! Check it out when you get a chance and let me know what you think!

P.S. And just in case anyone notices, I'm working on getting some "diversity" on the site! :)

Fisher Kids Soccer News

Woo!! Hoo!!! Nick's team the SWSA Spartans won today. They beat West Deptford 3-0 and our very own Nick Fisher scored 2 goals!!! Hopefully they can continue their winnings ways.

The SWSA Bulldogs have not faired as well on their last 2 outings. They played a make-up game on Friday night in Washington Township and lost 4-3. Our very own Adam Fisher scored all 3 goals for the Bulldogs. He was on his way to scoring a goal to tie the game when he was tackled (literally) by another player. He hurt his elbow and was taken out of the game and didn't get to take his penalty kick. He later returned to the game and had a couple of shots that were just wide of the goal.

Today, the Bulldogs were beaten 4-2 by Pennsville. Adam scored a goal during the first half, but had to play goalie the second half. He hates playing goalie. He did a great job. He had over 15 shots on goal on him--only 3 got by. I for one am glad his stint as goalie is over!!!

Bulldogs will gear up for Columbus Day Tournament on October 11th.

Madison will play in her final Pee Wee scrimmage on Saturday the 11th.

And yes, we Fishers are crazy about Soccer!!!!!

Fisher Family News

Madison continues to love Kindergarten. As for SWSA Soccer, she scores a goal each week during her Pee Wee soccer scrimmage games.

Adam's soccer team, the SWSA Bulldogs are 3-0 so far this season. Adam scored a goal last week in their game against Penns Grove. They will play Friday evening in Washington Township and Sunday in Pennsville. The team will be in a tournament in Woodstown over the Columbus Day Weekend. Go Bulldogs!!!

Nick's team the SWSA Spartans, are 1-3. This week they will be playing West Deptford at home. The coach chose not to enter them in the Columbus Day Tournament. We still have great hopes that the Spartans will break out of their early season slump.

My arm is on the mend. Will be out of work for 3 more weeks. Starting to feel a little broke, but the time off is nice. Can comb my hair with some difficulty and pain, but getting better. My functional deficits that caused me to have surgery are already improving. Hope to be completely back to normal by 3 months post-op.

Dogs are crazy. Busy with Church. Life is good.

K.

Welcome to the Collier/Fisher/Williams Family News!

Hello family! I set this blog up so that we can keep up with everyone's "happenings". With us all being so busy in our everyday lives, I thought this would be an easy way to stay connected and informed. Because I'm probably the one in front of the computer (and sometimes 2 or 3 for that matter!) the most throughout the day, I thought I'd take on the responsibility of keeping site updated. Sooooo, with that said....send your updates, pictures, video etc. to me at adrienne_marie03@yahoo.com or adriennemwilliams@gmail.com and I will post it to the site. Let me know if you have any questions!
